Description
Alberta Falls is located in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, USA. It is one of my favorite places to hike up to. In the spring, the falls are spectacularly full of snow melt and have a lot more water. In fall, the golden aspens along the trail are one of my favorite things EVER. I never tire of taking photos here. I used several reference photos I took completed this painting from them.
This piece was a "stretch" for me, as I had never painted a waterfall before. This painting was done during my Club Tuesday time, but I also worked on it at home in my studio.
