My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Thank you Mary Flore

Beautiful picture. Grew up on northshore so wanted something from there. Metal picture really shows the colors and picture quality is very clear.

This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

Artist's Description
Alki means Bye and Bye. Alki Point in Seattle is part of the original settlement of the city. Located on Elliott Bay, Alki Point Lighthouse has been operational since 1913. Visiting the lighthouse is on limited hours, set according to volunteer schedules. The lighthouse keepers dwellings are now private residences on the waterfront. The public is reminded in the strictest of terms to respect their privacy. The US Coastguard still maintains their operations at Alki Point but the lighthouse proper has been deeded over to the City of Seattle. This perfectly beautiful little lighthouse is a near-twin to the one located at Lime Kiln.
Every piece of art in my gallery is original; not scanned; not a photograph. Using only the computer mouse, I draw every line, add every bit of shading, highlights, blending, and refining to finish a piece. All of the art is started in Microsoft Paintbrush. The finishing process is done using Photoshop Elements.

About Anne Norskog
Art is in the eye of the beholder. I will not write in the third person here. That sounds pretentious and, most of the time, inaccurate. Being in the last third of my life, it becomes clear good health is the finest gift possible. Again, nature provides the most beautiful inspirations. Walk into your own garden. Stroll a beach or a path in the woods. Watch the sun and clouds or a kitten playing with a piece of string. Pay attention to the faces you see...they each tell their own story. Create something wonderful that has a piece of your own heart on it. The emotions that drive us human beings also drive our art. The viewer is respectfully reminded my works are copyright protected. Please visit me often. Kindest...

Fantastic work!! Lighthouses have always been a favorite of mine, and I think you have inspired me to take a stab at one in a painting as well. :)

Thanks Michael. Being an old medical historian I suppose this is my natural bent. I really enjoy painting them.
