There are many reasons why I find this black and white photograph has put the 'marvel' in a word like marvelous. Traditional like Wee Gee and dreamscape like Eugene Smith among many others. I am sure I will find more from this image each time come back to look at it.

Jean Macaluso replied:

Wow! I am humbled! Thank you Dean. Really appreciate such thoughtful comments!!

Bought this for my partner, it was from his own watercolor artwork. He was over the moon to see his artwork on this first class cushion cover and will be ordering another to balance our settee. 😂. I didn’t buy the cushion pad but would advise others to do so.

Hi, This was a Christmas gift for my sister ,who is a member of the John Entwistle fan club.Naturally, she was shocked and delighted with such a novel gift which really spoke to her.It is an excellent photograph and is captured nicely on the pillow. We miss John, and this is a tender reminder of an incredible musician from an incredible band.Thank you.

Beautiful picture

My new favorite pillow

January 13th, 2019

The art is beautiful; I love the color and the design. It resides on a couch, next to a solid-color deep red burgundy pillow which sets it off. It receives a 5-star rating based on its beauty. However, I cannot rate the delivery method as highly. It came in a large shipping box, loosely packed, with no plastic cover to protect it (as I've seen with the other throw pillows I've received from Fine Art America.) The zipper was partially down, so the inner pillow was poking through. And the inner pillow seemed too big for the artistic cover; it was a very tight fit and lacked the "give" of my other pillows. I'm eager to order another throw pillow very soon, as a gift to be sent directly to a friend. I would hate for it to arrive in a similar condition. If you could check the conditions at your shipping locations, I'd be grateful.

Artist's Description

With this photograph I am trying to convey a feeling, an emotion, to enliven the viewers senses and thoughts, to have them wonder what happened, what could happen, or what did happen. Did anything happen?

About Jean Macaluso

www.jeanmacaluso.com Pennsylvania born and bred: I grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs in a town called Horsham. I studied Radiologic Technology at Abington Hospital and then moved to Pittsburgh to work at St. Francis Hospital. After marrying I moved to Lewisburg. Currently I live in Carlisle. I have always had a passion for photography since picking up my father's camera at the age of 12. From that point on I was designated the family photographer. I developed that interest into an enthusiasm for the black & white process both traditional, alternative, and now digital.
