Description
This painting is of how I remember my Great Grandmother's kitchen. Those days were filled with canning and storing food for the upcoming year. A wood stove provided heat in the winter as well as for cooking and baking. Many a summer and fall afternoon were spent canning the bounty of the garden. She didn't have much of a grocery bill and no electric bill. there was a rain barrel outside to gather water for cooking and bathing. No water softener was needed. Soap was home made. This was truly a less complicated, more simple life.
