Thank you for visiting my art shop. I found oil painting to be an enjoyable hobby and a great pass time. Starting as a practice I painted in water color then tried in oils replicating the works of the great masters. One of my first paintings I tried to replicate was La Bonemienne a piece by Franz Hals. Franz Hals had a technique of using both a palette knife and brush. I found this to be a good practice for me and I carried this technique throughout all of my oil paintings. I am self taught and studied the works and techniques of Franz Hals, Judith Leyster, Pissarro, Turner, Van Gogh, Corot, Rembrandt, Degas, Manet, Rubens, Caravaggio, Da Vinci and Michaelangelo.
I am inspired by Rembrandt and Caravaggio.
