Anderon Valley Barn
The Anderson Valley according to some websites is just over two hours north of San Francisco. That should read close to three hours north of San Francisco unless your driving in the middle of the night and there is no traffic on the road.
Either way, it's well worth the drive to this quit little area in southern Mendocino County.
Drive up scenic Hwy 101 from San Francisco through Marin and Sonoma County take a left on Hwy 128 in Cloverdale and head towards the coast. After driving over a small mountain range you drop down into beautiful Anderson Valley.
You won't find much in Anderson Valley and that is part of the charm. A couple of small villages, a few campgrounds, and a number of wineries.
Of course, I go there for the wineries. This barn is at one of the Anderson Valley wineries and I just loved the weathered wood on this old building.
