I bought this mug for my Daughter Liesel and she's a fan of Clifton Mill. Especially during Christmas! A great mug and it reflects the mill during the holiday season.

This is a great picture. Shout out to John Boyd on his photography. The mig of this however is blurry and I’m disappointed. The original picture is not blurry, so I’m not sure why the print is.

This mug came out great. It’s a gift for my Dad. Thank you John Boyd and fine Arts America.

I love the mug because of the photo, the color I chose and the mug size. The only negatives are that while I knew the photo was small, it's a little too narrow. I have a Marilyn mug that I did not buy online, and it spans the entire mug as two copycat photos. Also, the inside of the mug is not smooth as most mugs are. Otherwise, it's fine, as is its price.

Artist's Description

Another day... another deformation zone. The predicted spring storm was slow to arrive so I headed outside to enjoy some superb plein air weather. At the start the winds were calm and the sun on my back felt like a heating pad. The arcs of thin cirrus marking the leading edge of one layer of moisture in the warm conveyor belt were approaching from the southwest toward Long Reach. Not surprisingly the easterly cold conveyor belt started to develop. They don't call it the cold conveyor belt for nothing. The air was full of the sounds of spring. A flock of nuthatches kept me company along with a pair of hooded mergansers. The ice was cracking as the Catarauqui Region Conservation Authority (CRCA0 continued to drain water from the drainage basin. Shelves of ice that were no longer buoyed up by water, crashed down like ice quakes making quite the noise.

About Phil Chadwick

Trained at Queens University as a nuclear physicist, Phil the Forecaster has been a professional meteorologist since 1976. Painting has however been his passion forever. For ten years, he studied under the late Mario Airomi, a famous Italian artist. Phil paints what he knows best: weather, nature, canoes and his family. There are not enough hours in the day to record the inspiration that abounds. Phil paints mainly en plein air striving for impressionistic realism. Something intangible and sometimes magical enters the art when one is actually out in the elements surrounded by inspiration. Bold colours and shapes can be found in the natural world if you only look. Phils art hangs in many private and corporate collections around the...
