The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

It’s the heartrending tale of an old Sailor who finally comes home from the sea to discover his first love as a young cabin boy (a prostitute) is now a faded shadow of her former self, and after a disillusioned night together, he goes back to sea, she gets hammered and throws herself off the quayside....and here’s the lyrics:

I’d been 17 years out at sea, and I was beside myself
Longing for land, and a hand, to lead me to bed
As we docked at the Quay,
The pitch and the roll started leaving me

As somebody once sang “Music is my first love” – but running it a close second is my love of drawing. I enjoy creating characters and ideas for cards and suchlike.
