Congratulations for having this great piece of artwork chosen to be featured in our Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery group. I am proud to be able to support and promote all artists within our group. A beautiful winter image Lois. l/f

What a great pleasure to see your winter gallery, first because Im missing snow a lot and second its such delightful art works! Brilliant tones on this image, love it a lot!

Great find and well done Lois!

Thanks so much, everyone!!! Willis ... I have only recently started adding my signature to my images ... with me, I guess it IS a pride thing, lol!!!!! Thank heavens for Photoshop!!!! As I'm looking at this one I see I need to throw in a newer version with the sig!!! Thanks so much for your note!!! Great to meet you here!!!!!

Hi Lois, Thanks for the uplift on the painting One Within Another. I had to edit it after I posted it on fineart america because when I cropped the image there was no signature. Not a pride thing but thought it had to be there. So I got a signature in there with software. I like peaceful quiet images and you have a lot of them, beautiful! I have a degree in forestry. I enjoyed after the saws, tractors and trucks stopped and everyone had gone home and the sun was setting. It was so peaceful, quiet and beautiful in the woods. I great memory. Have a wonderful and safe driving Thanksgiving.

Fabulous composition. love how the dark brings out the cold winter day.

Such a gorgeous image. Well done, Lois, and thank you for your wonderful comment on my Burger Joint photo. Elizabeth

The perfect postcard picture. (now say that three times real fast)

I adore this Lois....amazing composition!

Artist's Description

The skiers and snow boarders at Blue Knob All Seasons Resort are a hearty bunch. They seem to revel in the most fierce winter weather that Mother Nature has to offer. Just beyond this tiny shed the ground slopes down a 3,000 ft mountain. Not all of the 3,000 feet are skiable slopes and trails, but there is enough to satisfy even the most adventurous of the fans of East Coast snow. And let's be honest ... ice!! Taken on top of Blue Knob, Pennsylvania's highest ski-able mountain, in January of 2009. Treated to an update in 2018. Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

Although my goal will always be to catch that perfect shot straight out of the camera, I love exploring the artistic and creative process as I work with Photoshop and other image editing programs. Fine art purchases of my images will not include watermarks, and if I may make a recommendation ... images will look their very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
