Description
This painting was inspired by my love of aspen trees on hills all throughout the Rocky Mountains of Colorado in the autumn. Last year in May, 2015, I took a workshop by Ken Elliott, a man who is a contemporary colorist. Color has always deeply affected me, and my muse was cut loose in his workshop. I felt totally freed up. "Life" happened last year, and I was not able to produce many paintings. I am looking forward to making many more paintings in this new style. The original has been donated to one of my favorite charities, Colorado Friendship, which helps homeless people and provides food to school children.
