Description
Two spacemen hover over their ship controls discussing how much more data to collect from the 'Pillars of Creation', as seen from the observation deck of their starship, the USF Hawkings in the year 245 a.t. (2245 c.e.). The 'Pillars of Creation' is a region in space of interstellar gas and dust in the Eagle Nebula (M16); specifically the Serpens constellation, some 6,500–7,000 light years from Earth. They are so named because the gas and dust are in the process of creating new stars, while also being eroded by the light from nearby stars that have recently formed.
