Autumn Pond is a sofa sized impasto oil of a pond on a Blue Ridge farm. The scene emphasizes the autumn colors and the hilly part of this farm. I thought the swaying rhythm in the trees was especially captivating and the reflections add sparkle to the scene. The paint was applied in many layers and the surface is complex.
