I bought this in the greeting card form. I have been purchasing cards from Fine Art America for two or three years. Covid might have been some of the reason for looking for cards on the internet. Shops were closed. The main reason I buy cards from FAA is because I got tired of looking for cards at the usual card shops. I could find cards (sometimes) that looked good on the outside but the verses were terrible or it was the other way around...terrible on the outside but maybe a decent verse inside. I pick cards from FAA that fit with the occasion. I figure I can write something on the inside as good as any card company could. I wouldn't buy these cards if I didn't think they were wonderful. The cards are beautiful and excellent quality and the envelopes are equality as good. I am glad I can make a copy of what I've bought so I can keep track of who gets what card. I don't want to send the same card to someone twice. In this case, the card is going to someone for Mother's Day.

Artist's Description

Aztec, New Mexico - From the "Ancient Walls, Windows and Doors" series shown at the Amerind Museum, Dragoon, AZ..

My fascination with walls, windows and doors originates in their symbolism (at least for me). Walls are the separation between here and there; between one place and another another place; between inside and outside ... between one person and another. Windows and doors are the connection between here and there ... and metaphorically, the connection points between people.

About Joe Kozlowski

Joe Kozlowski

I started shooting seriously in the 1960s as a freelance photographer in San Francisco. Then I stopped shooting seriously and started shooting for myself. We always hope other people like what we do but, either way, it seems we keep doing it ... doing what we do is not really a choice. For what it's worth, I was born in Upstate New York. I was schooled at Syracuse University and Shimer College but I don't think my schooling got in the way of my education. I've lived and worked in Chicago, San Francisco, Cleveland, Grand Rapids (MI), The Poconos, the Metropolitan NY areas and Tucson, Arizona. My father was a portrait artist and art teacher (you can find his bio listed on Wikipedia). I've been involved in all aspects of photography for...
