Great shot, Glenn! I also appreciate the description you wrote. v

It took me a little investigation. The equipment is a power piece that looks invincible! Thanks Sue

That play in the photo is pretty nice. I worked on this photograph by hand back in the days before I understood all of the software in front of me. Many meticulous hours on the Arc Software photo system.

What a beautiful piece of machinery! Love that wheel - it seems too massive to be moved by water doesn't it.

I agree. It was a question that I had running through my mind as well. An interesting piece of industrial lore.

from Inanimate Objects group. V. This looks in remarkable condition. Nicely done.

It withstands the Sierra Mountain Range and Desert climates. Pretty well made. TU

Another wonderful piece of work Glenn. Is this at the same museum? It amazes me sometimes when something like this is shown, and realizing how gifted people of times past were to think this up, then produce it. I can imagine the same today would take computer experts and really spendy equipment to make it. Thanks for sharing in Abandoned and Forlorn.

Yes, it is the same museum. It's tucked away in Independence, California. Loads of California history artifacts including the nearby WW2 Manzanar Internment camp.

Very nice capture, Glenn. I like the contrast between the strength of the machine and the softness of the trees.

Thanks Very Much Phyllis. I cannot recollect ever seeing one of these units before... but there must have been a huge amount of muscle! God Bless!
