It was a gift for a friend who has worked on these rigs. It’s now in his own company facility. He loves it.

The following comment was e-mailed to me from Aubrey who came to the site and said she could not get her comments posted and would I post her thoughts on this drawing for her, of course I said yes, so here they are in her words: "Bald Eagle" This is my favorite piece of artwork by the artist because of the incredible detail and realism that is demonstrated throughout the entire piece. This is a profile portrait of the Bald Eagle that really shows the grace and beauty of the bird. The feathers are given detain and depth through shading, manipulating the contrast between the light and dark of the paper and pencil. The appearance of white feathers was demonstrated wonderfully with light strokes of the pencil, almost fading into the paper. The eagles' beak is chiseled with hard lines and gentle shading to provide definition and depth. The focus of the piece that really draws the viewer into the artwork is the eye of the Bald Eagle. It is so clear and intense that is brings life to the eagle. This is a common theme throughout the artists' works. AUBREY SMITHER
