Karen Cattel is a special artist and her whimsical art looks great on the two sturdy totes I purchased. One is a gift for a friend and the other is for me. I love them.

I so appreciate being able to have this old-fashioned outdoor dinner scene on a tote bag. It is adorable. Thank you for making it available.

I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

Have not received my Can’t send photo…. Have not received my purchase
This is an original 10" X 14" watercolor painting. Only professional quality pigments and archival paper are used.
My fascination with art and watercolor began at a very early age as I created my own comic books. While receiving limited formal training in graphic art in both high school and college, I am largely self-taught. Studying the style and works of many popular artists has both inspired and helped hone my technique. Currently, I have been experimenting with many different styles as I develop my own. While realism has more appeal to me, at times I loosen up and achieve a more painterly watercolor style. Additionally, I have begun showing a few photographs that were originally captured as painting reference photos. Thank you for looking and for your comments.

I like it how you paint the foreground details.
Jeff Lucas replied:
Thomas - If you mean the lighter spots of green in the shrubbery, that was accomplished by sprinkling a small amount of sea salt on the wet paint and by spraying clear water on the wet green paint. You'lll need to experiment to determine how wet the paint should be as well as how much water or salt to use.
