This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

This beautiful artwork is of the beautiful multi-colored beach huts in Muizenberg beach along the Indian Ocean, about 45 minutes from Cape Town, South Africa. Whether they are called beach houses, beach huts, beach boxes, or bathing boxes, there is never any doubt, when mentioned alongside Muizenberg, that people are referring to the stretch of colorful beach huts on Muizenberg beach.
Some huts, in recent years, fell into disrepair and with the threat of removal of the huts as recently as 2017, there was a huge public outcry. The plight of the beach hut is close to the heart of every “Muizenberger” and together with the mountain, surfing and beach walks makes up the locals’ love and passion for this much loved attraction.
