I bought this as a gift for my daughter and she loved it. The tuxedo cat painting was beautifully done. The blue and purple background was perfect to showcase the artist rendering of the cat.

This was a big hit as a gift. The recipients had taken a romantic picture in this locale And now they have a beautiful bag to take with them on their honeymoon.

Two Beavers cuddle together.
My passion is to express Nature's beauty through photography. I am self-taught and like things simple. Thus, photo manipulation is kept to a minimum. The intrinsic beauty of our natural surroundings does not need enhancing; only revealing. All photos of wildlife have been taken in the wild and involve no staging. My goal is to bring out the character of an animal ... the essence of a leaf ... the spirit of all Nature. "The Sacred is clothed in fur and feathers and scales and skin - It flashes out from shining eyes in darkened woods - And speaks in bird songs and cicada serenades - It touches a place in me where wildness dwells - A long forgotten, hidden place that shivers in sudden resonance." I have to ask myself how many hours of patiently sitting in the mud with mosquitos biting did it take to get a picture like that?
Doris Potter replied:
I'm afraid that I have to admit that it was not a terrible ordeal. There were some bugs and there was rain but I was on a boardwalk and the beavers were pretty nonchalant. I keep going back but have never seen them so out in the open like this again.

Very nice shot Doris, of a hard to capture animal.
Doris Potter replied:
Thanks Jim. I was so lucky!

I've only these critters once in my, and that was up in Alaska. Very cute. Nice capture.
Doris Potter replied:
Thanks Steve. I thought they were really cute too. At one point they were lying side by side on their backs occasionally stretching out a leg. So sweet!
Lori Lafargue
great shot--as usual, Doris! How close were you or what zoom did you use?
Doris Potter replied:
Hi Lori. Thanks for the nice compliment! I am terrible at estimating distances but checked the photo and it was taken at 110mm (with my 18mm to 200mm Canon lens). Also the picture was cropped a bit. These two beavers were very relaxed in a Nature park that has a boardwalk through a swamp.
April Wietrecki
How sweet!! :-)
Doris Potter replied:
Thanks April :-)

Adorable! Bless their little rodent hearts:>)
Doris Potter replied:
I second that! :-)

Wow this is great Doris. We have a bunch of these around the lake here but I have yet to get a shot as good as this one great capture!
Doris Potter replied:
Thanks Mitch. I'm so glad you like it. It is the only good picture I managed to get of these two.
