My father owns the same truck its the same color and everything and it originally sat in grandfather's garage with a gravel driveway until we pulled it out and rescued it and this photo reminds me of that day cause the garage even looks the same too. I will eventually hang it on my wall im remodeling my living room and ima hang it on my wall when it's done to pay respect to my father who bought me my first home and someday he's leaving this truck to me to carry on its legacy.
Berries and Brambles was inspired by a thicket I found in the woods in Ohio when I was a very young girl. There was a hiding place there my sisters and I used as a secret fort. A wonderful golden time, whimsical and childlike, it is among my favorite childhood memories. I decided to create this piece using a lot of various types of acrylics including some metallics. This piece is from an era when I was creating what I called "Drizzles". It is custom mixed acrylic colors and types and then, except for the background, it is squirted or drizzled from squirt bottles, dot by dot, bead by bead.I hope you enjoy this piece, not only for its beauty and fun but also because it shines out and changes with the changing light of day. :)
