Our carry-all pouches are available in three different sizes and with two different bottom styles: regular and t-bottom.

Artist's Description

This is a view of the western sky about an hour after #1896 "Howling Cold Front". The blustery southwesterly winds were still churning up the lake. White caps highlighted the Langmuir streets in the frenzied surface of the lake. The colour of the water was churned into a brown stain. It was a "five chair" wind event with winds gusting to 35 knots tipping over the heavy, recycled plastic chairs. The wind sheared tops of another row of towering cumulus were evident to the northwest. I was in the studio on the Ides of March to do this painting. The cold air flooding behind the cold front would be the set up for the storm which was currently keeping me in the studio. The title comes from the story of Julius Cesar and "beware the ides of March" which was made most notorious as it was the date of his assassination in 44 BC.

About Phil Chadwick

Trained at Queens University as a nuclear physicist, Phil the Forecaster has been a professional meteorologist since 1976. Painting has however been his passion forever. For ten years, he studied under the late Mario Airomi, a famous Italian artist. Phil paints what he knows best: weather, nature, canoes and his family. There are not enough hours in the day to record the inspiration that abounds. Phil paints mainly en plein air striving for impressionistic realism. Something intangible and sometimes magical enters the art when one is actually out in the elements surrounded by inspiration.
