The wood medium is a perfect addition to my prayer and meditation space! The blues are not the brilliant blues as they would be in a different medium, but this piece is humbling in its wood representation as befits the Cross of Christ. I look forward to more from this artist!

I m disappointed with this print. My wife insisted I go with the wood pallet. I did not realize this was a painting. It looks almost vague, impressionist style unless you stand back. Not sharp and clear as I had hoped. While it is still beautiful & it goes with the color of the wall, it blends too much, does not stand out if this was photo print instead. Do not take away from Gary's talent. He did an awesome job but it was not what I expected. Look forward to seeing more from him but I ran out of funds.
I began this painting by drawing the lines, the ones you see in black, without any subject in mind. I found the figure and painted her with her pocketbook, I couldn't figure out what to do with the right side. My Mother said it was obvious that she was playing a musical instrument, so I took it from there and completed the painting. My Mother's name is Bertha, so I named it that. She said to call it, Big Bertha which was a plane in WWII; so this painting is Big Bertha.
