Bruce Combs - REACH BEYOND
Hi, Jeffrey! I'm getting very involved with your works. I don't know how I got here (not on earth, silly) but I was just kind of wandering around in FAA -- something I think that all of us should do more, I should, anyway, and also wander more in the world outside our selves and galleries. I just am, perhaps, coming back to published and maybe posting more art in web galleries. I've been away awhile -- not sure where all the time. But a couple of things I want to ask or say, I've forgotten. Oh, one is I don't understand about the people, writing or not, involved with the comment to the second painting, BIPOLAR! But, I'm more interested in the painting itself. I think it is fantastic. Personally, my first glance at it I thought, hey, Keith Richards and Mick Jagger. You don’t mention that. Am I seeing things? I think this painting is a very meaningful presentation of them being “Siamesely” connected virtually as ONE, being the Stones! Ah, but there is sooo much more, too! The casino colors and shapes, for instance, and the rather definite gender statement, here and in a bunch of your works, I think. I’ve said enough -- for now! Just don‘t worry about reaching THERE; just concentrate on the REACHING. That’s my version of Zen and my painted logo. Peace, etc., Bruce
Dorothy thank you very much it makes me feel good when some one coments my paintings jeff
