Description
San Diego County : Anza Borrego Desert State Park
An interesting feature of Palm Canyon Trail is the colossal walls surrounding its north and south sides. As the trail proceeds west they funnel in blocking the horizon with craggy veils of auburn dirt and stone. In one wash I found a mature Ocotillo hidden in morning shadows; I sat and waited as sunlight inched down from its scarlet spring blooms to illuminate surrounding wildflowers. Indianhead Peak can be seen ascending in the background.

Kudos, William And, so superb the actual size of your capture: so that one can see the lovely Ocotillo/in flower! for which you knew to wait, to celebrate !! This is masterful Art.....compliments, fav..........VIVA

Thanks VIVA -- it was a nice spot to sit and wait, especially given the sound of nearby rushing water.
