The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

I love patterns in nature that replicate each other, such as the shape of butterfly wings and grape leaves. I like to exaggerate and intensify colors in nature. I used thin applications of oil paint and rubbed out shapes to begin this painting.
