Lots of interesting effects created by the powerful sunlight. The textures are well captured and its a great balance in the composition having the doors of an even tone and colour, flaking away in the heat! v

Old wooden blue doors I spotted in Santorini, Greece. Composition, texture, geometry and color add to the interest of this image. The visceral reaction of the viewer is what is most important.

At 12 yrs. old I was fascinated by this little box called a camera. If you pressed the button and brought the negatives to a drugstore, one week later photos would be returned in its' place. I didn't understand this magic. When I was old enough, I studied photography at Brooklyn College. I found that if I put my negatives in a thing called an enlarger a shadow would appear on photo paper. When I dropped that paper in some chemicals, a picture would emerge. Wow! I was hooked and so I studied at the International Center Of Photography. Now, I take a photo, plug my camera into my computer and the photo I just took pops up on my screen. Times have changed. I have had four one woman shows and one group show in Manhattan. It was an...
