Using as a wallet
Original was sold at the Live Oak Music Festival in 2005. I created this painting after a trip to the Redwoods in North California. I remember seeing the wondering forested landscape being cut down for lumber. My name is Jennifer McDuffie and I want to tell you who I am and what I paint! I was born in Alaska but moved to the Central coast of Cali at a very early age, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and wildlife. As a child I drew on everything and for everyone. For instance, I drew horses and flowers on napkins for waitresses at restaurants. During high school, at 16 years old I attended our community college to study art. The teachers were very inspiring and helpful even though I was young. I participated in many art and music festivals, galleries and art groups. The Redwoods are a wonderful place to take your children. When I was young I couldn't believe how large the trees were. Being there was like a dream. The drive is awesome except when you start to notice some areas the trees are all the same heigth. Square-like patterns. Then you notice blank areas, then really small trees. Don't forget about the HUGE logging company you drive by with thousands of those Redwood trees you came there to see. Very sad. Makes you want to go start a protest...
