Description

A bluebird perched upon a thorn,
Its feathers ruffled and forlorn,
The winter had been long and cold,
With blizzards fierce and snow so bold.

The moon shone bright above the trees,
A peaceful hush upon the breeze,
The bird looked out upon the night,
And longed for berries sweet and bright.

But in this land of icy chill,
The wildlife struggled, weak and ill,
Yet still they braved the bitter cold,
To seek out food, both young and old.
