Description
Electroless nickel plating factory. Vehicle brake pistons drying after being plated at a factory specialising in electroless nickel plating. This process relies on the presence of a reducing agent, such as hydrated sodium hypophosphite, which reacts with the metal ions to deposit metal, instead of the electric current used in traditional electroplating. Every hour, the chemical composition in the plating tanks is checked. Photographed at NiTEC, UK.
