This is one of the more unique renditions of starry night that I have seen. There is no colors are beautiful and this world's certainly relate to the original. A great addition to my collection

Broken Dreams
by Paul Shier
While Jimmy Page always used a double neck guitar to play "Stairway to Heaven" he would sometimes play a few notes to tease the audience with his favourite guitar, a Les Paul Gibson.
I was inspired to do this sculpture a few years ago while in North Bay. Watching the finger movements dance along the guitar was like watching a ballet dancer floating across the stage.
This sculpture is carved in marble, stands 101 cm tall and weighs 41 kg. This sculpture was one of three to be show at the Florence Biennale 2007 and has returned to Canada with a new look!
About Paul Shier
Paul Shier is a world renown artist residing in a rural setting near Tweed, Ontario. He was born into a artistic family and introduced to the love of nature at a very young age. He enjoys working in many types of art media however he favours sculpting in a variety of stone. His ability to bring the sculptures to life is remarkable as attested by his clientele. He is known in the eyes of the media as "The Caring Carver" because of his undying generousity to just causes such as 9/11 which he created "Thundering Silence" for the people of New York City; "The Challenge" to help stop child poverty; "Queens' Own Rifles" in honour of our veterans of WWII and most recently "The Guardian" in honour of our soldiers in Afghanistan.
