Description
Given away at the Legionnaires Convention in New York City in 1947, this picture shows the Brooklyn Dodgers baseball team with their signatures at the bottom. Shot at Ebbits Field, players include Jackie Robinson, Gil Hodges, Pete Reiser, Pee Wee Reese and all the others. The Brooklyn Dodgers name came from the the art of dodging trolly cars as they moved up and down the streets, in fact the first name was "Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers". They were active in major league ball playing from 1884 till 1957, when the team moved to California and became the Los Angles Dodgers. This photograph was given to my father, and now belongs to me.
