I have been a photographer just about my whole life when ever since I was a kid I often "borrowed" my mother's old reliable Kodak Brownie camera. It wasn't until 1977, however, that I got my first 35m film camera, a Nikkormat EL-W, and the thought crossed my mind to make a career out of photography. My enthusiasm for this artistic medium led me to take several classes at the New School, in Manhattan, New York, where I learned darkroom techniques, allowing me the knowledge of developing my own film and prints. Now of course, I was thoroughly hooked. In only a few years, from 1977 to 1979 I had already acquired a rather large portfolio of images.
