Buddha in the Bamboo Forest is located among the bamboo trees found on a trek through Allerton Gardens on Kauai in Hawaii.
The yellow bamboo stalks are twenty to thirty feet tall, maybe more. Bamboo tends to do what's know as "walk." When they become crowded in a patch of ground, they will begin to spread out, growing in all directions. These yellow trees with green foliage growing around and through their bases were too thick to walk between.
The statue of Buddha has been there since the days of Hawaiian royalty, as has all of the statues in the Gardens. This was a place of peace that can be felt.
