Calico is a former ghost town revived by Walter Knott, later handed over to San Bernardino County for preservation. The county has kept the town active as a regional park and museum. I really liked the contrast of this building and how the second floor was made of wood - todays homes are constructed so differently. Just imagine hauling all that material up a mountain. I hope you can visit one day, too!
