We were looking for a large piece to hang in our home office. My wife and I have both worked in the aero space industry and love photos of older planes. We had a tough time choosing which item to choose but are very happy with this one. From the colors to the photo on canvas quality we could not be happier. Great quality!

Love my Canvas print of Delanie! Very satisfied. I will be purchasing my second canvas from this company very soon! Thanks Fine Arts America!

I purchased this canvas print for my 14 year old son who shares my love of Medieval history and culture. He loved it, I loved it, the whole family was envious! We love the style the artist has used. Many of the others I looked at were rather washed out looking or the characters depicted had a very deliberately posed look. This piece looks like we've happened upon a group mid-battle. My only regret is that we couldn't afford to purchase a larger size...maybe one day!

Love it

The print is beautiful but their customer service is even better! I first ordered this print on wood. The colors were somewhat muted and it developed a crack down the center. I returned it and payment was refunded very promptly. I reordered the same print in a larger size, this time on canvas. Both prints arrived to the Big Island of Hawaii very quickly which is not always the case when I order from the mainland. I was also impressed with the packaging. Mr. Robinson's print will reside in my kitchen above a new zebra wood counter and will remind me of old Hawaii every day

Gorgeous photo with deeply saturated color. Bravo to the artist!

Artist's Description

"Canoes" by Debra and Dave Vanderlaan ...Unique wooden canoes line the dock, hand-carved from large trees by the Indians, each one a masterpiece in it's own right. These interesting collectibles were found in an old outdoor nautical re-seller market along Dixie Highway near the waterway in South Florida.... ................................................ A dugout or dugout canoe is a boat made from a hollowed tree trunk. Other names for this type of boat are logboat and monoxylon. Monoxylon (μονόξυλον) (pl: monoxyla) is Greek -- mono- (single) + ξύλον xylon (tree) -- and is mostly used in classic Greek texts. In Germany they are called einbaum ("one tree" in English)). Some, but not all, pirogues are also constructed in this manner. Dugouts are the oldest boats archaeologists have found, dating back about eight thousand years. This is probably because they are made of massive pieces of wood, which tend to preserve better than, e.g., bark canoes. Einbaum dug-out boat fin...
