This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.

Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

Lonn, thank you for your generous comments on my “Capturing the Sun” and “Prom Night” pieces. I would be glad to share with you and your readers my technique for producing these works. Both pieces use colorful flower photos that have been layered in PS with special effect backgrounds. The difference between the two is the CTS image is using its own floral background that has been swirled and PN is using an effect from a different image. The layers are tone-mapped to bring out the rich colors and details in the shadows and highlights without looking to much like a surreal HDR photograph. The layers are then color corrected and often combined further with layer mask transparency to morph the forms together slightly. The effects for the backgrounds can be created directly from within PS or any of the many filter plugin companies like Topaz Labs. I have used this technique for a lot of my abstract digital art pieces such as “Phoenix Rising” with a White Egret or “Silver Shadow” with a RR hood ornament. My goal is to keep experimenting and having fun with my images without getting sucked into that huge melting pot of normalcy. Chuck
