Painting of a Dark, Gothic, Abandoned Castle in Southern Venezuela - Spanish Style - Abandoned, dilapidated, possibly haunted on the edge of a mountain cliff long since forgotten. I was inspired to create this as I've been studying natural landscapes/hardscapes of rock formations and it amazes me that people over the years and even up to several thousand years ago could climb 10,000 feet and build a structure in an impossible area even by today's standards while moving thousands of tons of stone and blending the architecture naturally with the surrounding hardscape.

This was a gift for a Vermont native. She had been to this sight and was very happy. I did an acrylic painting for her as well. I am not a trained artist, extremely amateur, but she was quite touched by the personal touch.
