A fascinating statue, kk! I must visit that park! :)

Love it! Very cool Kathleen. I've been a musician my whole life, and father before me...

fine treatment...(and a very sad story). l/f

Yes, it is. I found his grave in the Holt Cemetery. Check it out. It is the only under the ground cemetery here in NOLA, Bonnie. He has a very nice memorial stone. I am glad. :) kk

Very nice image KK!

Very cool!

Very disappointed with the fabric. The colors are much more muted than they appear on line. I was hoping for a crisp colorful piece on a white background.

I like most of the products from Fine Art America. However, I think this product should be called a "sheet" rather than a Tapestry because I think of a tapestry as being woven and having some weight to it. The image is ok but somewhat blurred. This product might come in handy for tv production backgrounds with alternate images especially if the image is carried to the utmost edges.

Very nice and elegant, purchased it for my restaurant, got a lot of positive comments

I iam impressed with the art still, but with the product, not so much. The main problem with it is that it is printed from a picture with very low resolution, meaning that it can be viewed and enjoyed from rather afar. Even JPG artefacts are seen on it. Please print one in full resolution and send it to me, because this way you are not doing any good for your shop or for the benefit of the art creator.

The tapestry was better than I was expecting. Yea, the fabric is thin, but it had a nice soft hand feel to it giving it a nice drape. I put the tapestey up next to my side of the master bedroom. The colors were vibrant, and the size was perfect as an oversized piece option. The print was a little hazy, but for the size and texture it was being printed on, I was expecting some haze. I would definitely order again from this site as well as SpaceFrog Designs!

Artist's Description

The following very interesting info regarding Buddy Bolden is from Wikipedia: "He was known as King Bolden (see Jazz royalty), and his band was a top draw in New Orleans (the city of his birth) from about 1900 until 1907, when he was incapacitated by schizophrenia (then called dementia praecox). He left no known surviving recordings, but he was known for his very loud sound and constant improvisation. It is certain that he was recorded. Edison Archive records mention recording Buddy Bolden. The recording, however, has never been found. While there is substantial first-hand oral history about Buddy Bolden, facts about his life continue to be lost amidst colorful myth. Stories about his being a barber by trade or that he published a scandal sheet called The Cricket have been repeated in print despite being debunked decades earlier. Reputedly, his father was a teamster. Bolden suffered an episode of acute alcoholic psychosis in 1907 at the age of 30. With the full diagnosis of dementi...
