Better than I expected
This quilt is fun and games! Done in a black and white and gray color sceme this checker board still has seven checkers left in play. Each square has a red, blue and a brown pick-up-sticks that were sewn on before the quilt was pieced...they are not quilting lines.
Pam Geisel has a background as a graphic designer. Her quilts often have a strong graphic quality using machine piecing, machine raw-edge fusible applique, and machine quilting plus embellishments including hand quilting, couched yarn, and hand beading.
