Artist's Description
This photograph is of one of six 65 feet tall Corinthian colonnades of the Chicago Federal Reserve Building facing LaSalle Street. They were designed and built to produce “the impression of dignity and strength, in harmony with the power and purpose of the institution,” according to a newspaper of the day.
All proceeds will be donated to Chicago's Cornerstone Community Outreach in honor of photographer Richard Cleis, 1965-2021.
