If flowers were made of glass, this is what our gardens would look like! Such beautiful creations, but they still don't nourish creatures or smell good! ☺ But these bloom all year long!
This image of a Chihuly display, just makes me think of celebration and joy!
The Franklin Park Conservatory is a 'must-see' if you ever are in Columbus, Ohio. The gardens and Greenhouses are botanical wonderlands and made even more beautiful with additions of Chihuly Glass throughout the grounds and exhibits. Dale Chihuly's spectacular creations celebrating nature and innovations in glassblowing provide vibrancy and fluidity to any space. They are especially stunning when combined with natural greenery and earth's own beauty. For this display the natural sunlight coming through the windows really brings out to detail of line and clarity of these gorgeous colors.
This was taken at a display called the Persian Window. It was first exhibited in 1986 as part of his exhibition at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs, in the Lourvre in Paris. It is a celebration of form, scale and color. This is just a small section of the display, but I really love the color combination and how the light shines through and reflects around.
Thank you so much for looking at my images. I appreciate that very much.
I am very concerned with our environment and have decided to donate any money I make from any sales of this image to the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.....because the Earth needs a good lawyer! We all need to speak up and support efforts to protect our environment. We will not get a second chance!
