Alanna have been around in some time so it was nice to see this and it is wonderful nice work ☺fav and like

Margaret - thank you so much. It's hanging on a business wall - all Japanese in decoration. :D I looked at your gorgeous photographs and art and enjoyed it very much. So many colors - rich and happy photos and paintings - my favorite! Thank you so very much for your lovely comment. It's a playful painting with no regard to light, etc., as if a child did it. It was a "be free" day. :D

Alanna, such happy, dancing red poppies.

Christy - they do kind of look like children. lol This was a fun painting because of not following any of the rules of light source, etc. I've even had mousepads made out of it. I went to your site again and see you are an animal lover. We have rescued animals for almost 34 years. Did your pics of the abondoned and stray animals get homes? I hope so. Wish I could take pics like yours. They are full of warmth. Again, thank you for your lovely comments. I so very much appreciate the time you took to send them. :D

When I first read the title, I thought you meant the flowers themselves were like children (then I read your description) The flowers ARE like the faces of bright, happy children!! :) I love it! VF

Nadia - thank you again. I love doing flowers with a black background. Really makes them pop. This hangs in a business where I would get massages for pain. The entire place was in Japanese - so thought it would be a nice home for it. :D Again, thank you for taking the time to look at my site and send comments. :D

Love the style of the work,Alanna, colors are outstanding!v.f

Antonia - I just looked at your site and am so delighted by the joy it gives me. So many colors and variations! You have a great gift. Happy you enjoyed my Childlike Poppies. I just wanted to have fun and not pay any attention to rules of art. It was so much fun! Thank you for your lovely comments and know I take them to heart. :D

Alanna, this is definitely one of my favorites. No rules to follow and look what happened! I enjoyed your bio and the road you traveled. V.

Chrisann - poppies were grown by my mom, and one day I just wanted to break all the "rules of the light must come from one direction, etc," and just paint - no restrictions. So - childlike popppies came about. Looks oriental to me! :D Chrisann - thank you again for taking the time for your lovely comments. And everyone go to Chrisann's site - you'll love it!

Alanna, Wow,this is Stunning! Your flowers with the dark background make the pop right at you. Loving how you are using these colors. Another fav and vote!

Bill, thank you so very much. It was fun breaking all the rules - just painting as a child would - free of constraint. Again, thank you so much. :D
