Description
This is one of a series of 3 hand printed monotypes inspired by the Chiribaya culture in southern Peru. I used Createx Monoprint colors first and then black over the first printing (instead of oil based ink) giving a more 'painterly' effect and printed on Arches Cover.

Very nice!. Thanks for the comment/post on my Lily. So this piece is a 4-part printing process?
Pamela Iris Harden replied:
Hi, Linda! In this piece I first painted the color onto plexiglass, then hand rubbed the back of the paper, slightly damp. After it dried, I rolled black Createx color onto the plexiglass and removed the paint to get the effects like a woodcut. Because it is all water based paint some areas blurred which give it a more painterly effect in some areas. So really it was only 2 printings on this one, color first, then the black. Love to share processes of printmaking! Thank you asking! :)
