Description
This is an image of men riding horses on the cobblestone streets of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. They were sharing the streets with cars, trucks, and pedestrians. This is a fairly common sight in San Miguel, and the day I took this picture there were many of them in town for a special event. San Miguel is a photographer's dream, for its architecture, people, history, culture, and much more!

Such beautiful dignity! Love their demeanor and imagining the hooves striking the cobblestones. Such rich architectural colors! Thank you for sharing, Lindley! L/F

I love this type of photography, being from Texas, Western Art is huge and we are largely a Hispanic State, and the people here embrace that. We love the colors, the music and especially the food! I would love one day to paint this type of thing! FAV! and follow!

I wouldn't have expected to see horsemen sharing the road with other vehicles, but I guess this is as good as it gets in San Miguel. Love the image with its story telling element. Are these cobblestones blue? They were truly blue in San Juan and I'm not sure if there is a shared history here.
Lindley Johnson replied:
They're more of a grey tone, Hany - the blue cast comes from being in shadows. Thanks for the support.
