Description
Colors of the morninng by Karen Cook - As often as I can, I visit this pond, especially in the early mornings of Autumn. If I am lucky, I am the only one there and I can watch as the mallards silently glide through the calm waters.
On this morning, the sunlight was already warming the waters. The brilliant foliage of Autumn was reflected in the pond...it looked like the pond was on fire with the deep reds and oranges of the leaves mirrored in the water. The duck looked so serene, but those feet underneath the water paddled furiously, making circles in the water, as it floated.
