Perfect. My dining room is styled in Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau, and this is a magnificent example of the transition period. Excellent print and high quality matting and framing.

Package was pretty beat up upon arrival. I can send a separate photo if you’d like to see it? 5 star on the actual picture. 1 star on shipping.

Artist's Description
The buttonbush is a wetland plant that truly wants wet feet to thrive. They love growing right on the edge of ponds and lakes where the water supply is constant and the soil saturated.
It is a perennial, deciduous shrub that can reach up to twelve feet in height, when it's happy and has partial shade. It is an important plant for all kinds of insects from bees, to wasps and hornets, to butterflies and moths. Water birds, and probably others, eat the fruits.
It blooms (around here) right at the Fourth of July, and is covered with all manner of butterflies, wasps, bees, and such. The flowers look like fancy pincushions.
This picture was taken July 4, 2011, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA. The range of these plants is roughly the eastern most 2/3rds of America, and the eastern half of Canada with some extra places thrown in. You can get more detailed information from the below listed sites.

About Carol Senske
I always wanted to try photography, and my retirement offered an opportunity to do just that. The natural world is my first love. Here you will find pictures of things both large (landscapes, for instance) and small (macro) that catch my eye. I hope the images serve as a window into the natural world many of you don't have the chance to see. In a sense, I'm trying to create a guided nature trail, sharing what information I have about the subject. I'm always grateful for new and better information and welcome all input. Learning is food for the mind and soul. Nothing is ever harmed in the picture-taking process, but some things that wander into our home (like spiders) are carefully removed from the house after they serve as "models"....

the most marvelous things grow in the marshes, wild and free..
Carol Senske replied:
You are so right! I need to go to our local wetlands and look for the wild flags - glad you reminded me:>)

Lovely! I don't recall seeing it around here. I must keep my eyes open for it!
Carol Senske replied:
Yours could bloom as late as August - not sure - and you'll be in 7th Heaven if you find one because of all the visitors you'll see and photograph! Here's hoping . . .
