Description

Typically, I am a pretty realistic photographer. A lot of my early professional experience was in journalism, and any editing techniques that aren't true to life are unwelcome there. As I was editing this shot, I was listening to electronic music by Analogue Ghost, and I felt a bit of surrealism creep in. It's funny how one art form can influence another. Maybe I should listen to music while editing more often.

This tree overlooking the city of Cortez from Mesa Top Ruins Road in Mesa Verde National Park doesn't particularly represent this park's overall contents, but it was an interesting feature to me nevertheless. (Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado, 2019)
