Painting - Acrylic And Prismacolor On Illustration Board
A friend of mine calls movies based on H.G. Wells and Jules Verne "Fireside Science Fiction". I wanted to create my own story, so I added a few mechanical devices, a dirigible, a portrait of Jules Verne, a fireplace (of course) and little models of the Time Machine from George Pal's film and the Nautilus from Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Initially I had another dog in the painting, but the female model for the piece bought the original with the direction that HER dog be in the photo. Greatest dog EVER too! A beautiful husky named Katherina. Unfortunately Katherina passed away in the last year.
