Dahlia's are such wonderfully complex flowers, with lots of petals and a wonderful array of very bright colors. I wanted to create the feeling that the beauty of this flower was emerging to the foreground, so I added several of Jai Johnson's textures and used blending modes to create the new texture. I then masked out the flower and added a final line drawing with the Topaz Simplify filter.
