Description
Dalhebity House is a part of history in Scotland. I enjoyed living in the East Wing several years. The ducks were an Easter gift of two young boys that lived past the Manor house in the Dalhebity Carriage house. The ducks were named "Lunch & Dinner."
A 2011 update -- this lovely home has been raised. It was the home of Lady Diana's maternal grandmother, Ruth Sylvia Gill. Ruth Roche, Baroness Fermory, was lady-in-waiting to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. This home has been replaced by an eco-friendly home. A sad loss of history & architectural elegance.

Thank you Winchester, England for your Archival print order of the Dalhebity house. A lovely home now past history. It was so much fun decorating which I kept a large vase of flowers on an antique butler's tray at the dining window and our small silver poodle loved to stay in the large window above in the bedroom/study. In another painting I had brought my antique bird cage to US. In the front Dalhebity entry window we had a singing canary, Sonny and Cher, the poodle would be close by. Thank you---enjoy your print. dals

July 21, 2021: Thank you Beamimster, Dorset for you order of a archival print of Dalhebity house in Bieldside, Scotland. This home had hundreds of years of history and Lady Diana's maternal Aunt, Mrs. Mary Roche, was born in this house. Mrs. Roche, was the sister of Frances Shand Kidd, who was Lady Diana's mother. The house was demolished some years ago for a eco-friendly home. Enjoy your print. My husband and I enjoyed living in the East Wing of this charming old home back in the late 70's. dals

Thank you for your order of this print Glasgow. I loved living in a wing of this beautiful old estate house. I loved living in Scotland and traveling through the beautiful areas. I suppose you know that Dalhebity was torn down by owner Milne a few years ago to build his eco-friendly home. The new Dalhebity I found on the internet which is an air view of the property and a very large home but without the old charm of previous Dalhebity. Enjoy!! Thanks again for your order. dals

Oct 13-'13: Annette Forkum thanks so much for comment Sept 27'13 that your parents, Weatherley's, lived in the same East Wing before myself & husband. It is great fun sharing pictures of your visits with family in late 1970's to Dalhebity. I have more to send you. Take care. "dals"
