Description
Damselfish. Small unidentified juvenile damselfish displaying in front of a crinoid. A crinoid is an invertebrate marine animal that has feather-like arms radiating from a central body. Damselfish are small, territorial reef fish of tropical waters. They feed on plankton, small crustaceans and algae. They are also popular aquarium fish as they are hardy and take almost any food. This specimen is about 1.5 centimetres in length. Photographed off Mabul Island, Malaysia.
